Most winch hoists are now powered by electric motors, and small and medium-sized specifications can be equipped with hand cranking devices, making it convenient for manual opening and closing of gates at any time.
The winch hoist is composed of an electric motor, coupling, transmission shaft, reducer, brake, open gear, drum part, main controller, frame, pulley, and other parts. The steel wire rope lifted by the winch hoist passes through the pulley, fixed pulley, and balance wheel, and both ends are fixed to the end (or middle) of the left and right spiral grooves of the drum with pressure plates. During operation, the power of the electric motor drives the rolling mill to rotate through the coupling, reducer, and open gear. The steel wire rope is retracted or released in the spiral groove, allowing the gate to be opened and closed. The master controller can control the upper and lower limit fixed positions of the gate, and the brake can keep the gate in any desired position.
The winch type hoist is a specialized machinery for water conservancy engineering, widely used for the opening and closing of water conservancy engineering gates. It is a supporting machinery for inlet and outlet gates such as agricultural irrigation, aquaculture, agricultural economic development zones, sewage treatment plants, water conservancy power plants, reservoirs (water gates, embankments, tunnels, pipelines), etc. It can be used in mountainous areas, plains with and without electricity. According to the design requirements of the user’s hydraulic engineering, a double lifting point winch type hoist can also be produced.
